Brad Marchand's latest comments about free agency will drive Maple Leafs fans nuts

Brad Marchand is someone who has trolled the Toronto Maple Leafs for years at this point, and he has done so without a care in the world.

Whenever the Boston Bruins would play the Leafs in the postseason, Marchand would get the better of the team.

With the Florida Panthers, that trend continued last Spring. In the Summer, Marchand became a free agent, and it was revealed that the forward wanted to come to Toronto.

In the end, he re-signed with the Florida Panthers, and fans felt as though the Marchand dream was always a sham from the very beginning.

Tonight, the Leafs are going up against the Panthers, and as you can imagine, this was an opportunity for Marchand to speak on what could have been.

In fact, the two-time Stanley Cup champion claimed that if it wasn't the Panthers, he was actually going to sign in Toronto.

If you are a Maple Leafs fan, you can't help but see exactly what Brad Marchand is trying to do here ahead of tonight's game.

He wants to get into the heads of the players and the fans, especially since the game is in Toronto, and he knows he can get some very loud boos.

With his 46 points in 40 games this season, there is no denying that the forward would have been perfect for the Leafs. Unfortunately, the Leafs fandom will never know what could have been.
