Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk took a shot at Leafs fans tonight after his team lost game one of the battle of Ontario.
The Toronto Maple Leafs looked as dominant as ever last night as they took game one of the Battle of Ontario from the Senators by a final score of 6-2.
The Senators were visibly rattled and undisciplined throughout the game, surrendering three powerplay goals to a Leafs squad that is very similar to last year's team that scored just two powerplay goals in seven games against the Boston Bruins.
Mitch Marner had a big game putting up three points which also matches his production from the series last season.
By the end of the game, Leafs fans were chanting, "Brady Sucks" as the last second of the third period ticked down.
Tkachuk was asked how he felt about the chants in his post game interview and his response was brutally honest.
He told reporters, "I don't really give a S***"
Tkachuk had a good game in his own right albeit he did not score. Instead he registered five shots on goal, seven hits, and a blocked shot.
However he did take a penalty which is indicative of now the night went for the Senators.
The team will have to stay out of the box if they want a chance to even up the series in game two, especially with the Leafs powerplay clicking at such a high rate.
Hopefully Travis Green can find a way to reign in his players, but the Leafs certainly won't complain if they get a few extra opportunities on the man advantage.
