Craig Berube Makes His Biggest Maple Leafs Lineup Change of the NHL Playoffs So Far

Going into Game 6 against the Ottawa Senators tonight, Toronto Maple Leafs fans have been begging for some lineup changes.

There have been some fans hoping for Max Pacioretty to be taken out of the lineup in favor of Nick Robertson.

Interestingly enough, the Leafs and head coach Craig Berube are making some changes involving Pacioretty. Except he will not be demoted. Instead, he is being promoted.

At morning skate, Pacioretty was on a line with William Nylander and John Tavares, who have not excelled with Pontus Holmberg alongside of them.

Pacioretty started the season on the second line, so perhaps this is the best course of action to make sure that the Maple Leafs forward is as productive as possible.

This is a very important Game 6 and it is easy to understand why. After going up 3-0 in the series, the Maple Leafs have lost two in a row.

Fans are expecting this Leafs squad to come out guns blazing and they would prefer if this series could be ended as quickly as possible.

A loss would bring a Game 7 back to Toronto and there aren't a lot of folks out there who would appreciate that given everything that has happened to the Leafs over the years.

A collapse of this magnitude would be hellish for this team to navigate. As a result, they must treat tonight like a must-win.
