Dale Hunter Reveals the Truth About Easton Cowan's Toronto Maple Leafs Hopes

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan is looking to make the team this year, and his London Knights head coach Dale Hunter is speaking out on the odds.
Easton Cowan is a player with tremendous upside, and Maple Leafs fans are excited about him potentially making the team this season.
However, it is not going to be easy for the prospect. There are numerous players looking to make the Leafs, and with so many talented players already on the roster, Cowan might be left out.
Having said that, training camp is on the horizon, and there will be lots of eyes on Cowan as he looks to prove his worth to the franchise.
Is Easton Cowan making the Toronto Maple Leafs?
Recently, London Knights head coach Dale Hunter spoke about his former player on The Fan Morning Show, and it led to some interesting insights.
Namely, that Cowan is going to be working extremely hard to make the Leafs roster this season.
«He's going to push to make the team and play well for the Leafs,» he said. «Every organization needs young guys pushing to make the team, and it will make the Leafs better. And he's going to make it. So, that's a good thing for the Leafs.»
That said, he did warn Cowan that physically, this might be the most difficult thing he does in his entire life.
«It's the best league in the world, and you've got to be physically ready for it because there are big guys in the National Hockey League,» he said. «It's 80-plus games and it's a grind in there, and you just got to be ready every night to perform, be consistent, and that's what the NHL guys are looking for.»
At the end of the day, this is going to be a very interesting narrative to watch play out, and we are hoping for Cowan's success.
Only time will tell whether or not he can actually show his prowess and make the Maple Leafs, once and for all.
