David Kampf Responds to Toronto Maple Leafs Trade Rumors In the Subtlest Way Possible
Toronto Maple Leafs forward David Kampf has had to deal with numerous reports about his future in Toronto, and the trade rumors are only getting louder.
David Kampf had one of the most disappointing seasons of anyone on the Toronto Maple Leafs last season. After all, 13 points in 59 games is not going to cut it.
As a result of this performance, Kampf is one of the few players who appear to be on the trading block for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He and Calle Jarnkrok have been spoken about as if they are some sort of package deal. With an influx of bottom-sixers on the roster, it just feels like Kampf is on his way out.
However, rival teams aren't biting right now, and there is no telling where Kampf will play this season. For all we know, the Leafs could put him on waivers if a deal doesn't materialize.
David Kampf unbothered by trade rumors
So far, we have yet to hear from David Kampf this summer. Instead, he has remained silent amidst these rumors, and fans have no clue how he's feeling.
As it turns out, he is completely unbothered. We know this thanks to some new photos on social media, where the forward could be seen biking around town and skating with his son.
He is living life to the fullest, and it doesn't feel like the drama surrounding his name is having any sort of ill effect on him.
If you are a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, you are probably hoping for a Kampf trade regardless, as it would help out the salary cap.
A trade could also bring about some assets, like a draft pick or future considerations. Either way, Kampf is worth something to someone out there.
The worst-case scenario would be a buyout, and we're sure the general manager Brad Treliving is working to make sure that does not happen.
