The Toronto Maple Leafs have two former prospects playing for the Boston Bruins right now, and this includes the likes of Alex Steeves and Fraser Minten.
By now, every Leafs fan is well aware of the fact that Fraser Minten and Alex Steeves are haunting the franchise by playing for the Boston Bruins.
Both players struggled for opportunities with the Leafs last season. However, that has not been the case with the Bruins, as both players have been keys to the team's success.
Minten and Steeves even connected on a beautiful goal just a few days ago, which left Maple Leafs fans in shambles, and rightfully so.
Alex Steeves thrives with the Boston Bruins
At Boston Bruins practice on Monday, Steeves' ascension with the franchise continued, as he was promoted to the first line with Elias Lindholm and Morgan Geekie.
This promotion shouldn't be a surprise when you consider how David Pastrnak was not at practice on Monday. However, it just goes to show how much trust the Bruins have in Steeves.

The Maple Leafs could have kept Steeves in the offseason, although they let him go to the Bruins, knowing he would not have many opportunities in Toronto.
With the Toronto Marlies, Steeves was an absolute stud and even has the record for most goals in franchise history.
Now, with the Bruins, Steeves has an opportunity to carve out a solid career for himself, and perhaps never see the AHL again.
