Easton Cowan Hits the Toronto Maple Leafs with a Major Revelation Before Training Camp

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan is coming into next season with a ton of hype, however, there is no telling how he will perform during training camp.
Easton Cowan is coming off an incredible campaign with the London Knights, where he was able to win the Memorial Cup.
Throughout the OHL Playoffs, Cowan was able to amass 39 points in 17 games. He also added another 7 points during the Memorial Cup, making him the standout player.
His next move will be Toronto Maple Leafs training camp, where he will attempt to make the team and officially start his rookie season.
Easton Cowan has a path for the Toronto Maple Leafs
Recently, the young forward was on 'Leafs Morning Take,' where he spoke about what his plans are for the upcoming season.
His comments are going to make Maple Leafs fans foam at the mouth, as he noted that his plan is to make the Leafs roster. Anything less than that would be a disappointment.
Every kid in my situation would probably say to make the NHL, and that's definitely my goal... I feel like I'm capable. I just have to keep getting bigger, keep getting faster, and keep getting stronger. It's in my hands. I feel like I'm smart enough and able to play, but obviously, I have to get bigger, and that's in my hands. I'll take advantage of that this summer, training in London and a bit in Toronto too. It'll help me out a lot, and I'm just super excited for camp. I'll be ready for it for sure.
Cowan did acknowledge that he needs to get bigger in the offseason. However, his plan is to take advantage of the summer and work as hard as possible.
The young forward has a lot of talent, but his only issue is going to be size and his mind for the game at such a high level. He may have growing pains, but he could surprise a lot of people.
Ultimately, the Leafs are a team that could use some young stars, and Cowan is shaping up to be the forward of the future.
Hopefully, Easton Cowan continues to grow as a player and establish himself as an NHL-caliber forward who can produce at the highest level.
