Toronto Maple Leafs forward Scott Laughton was hammered into the boards by Eetu Luostarinen, and now, Leafs Nation is upset for multiple reasons.

The Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Florida Panthers tonight by a score of 4-1 in what was one of the team's best performances of the season.
The Leafs are actually starting to come alive, and it feels as though this team is finally going to make that playoff push fans have been waiting for.
However, it is not going to be an easy task, and it's especially not helpful when the referees refuse to be on the Maple Leafs' side.
There was a situation tonight in Toronto that had Maple Leafs fans up in arms, all while worrying about the condition of forward Scott Laughton.

Scott Laughton blindsided by Eetu Luostarinen

As you can see below, Scott Laughton was sent headfirst into the boards by Eetu Luostarinen in what appeared to be a dirty hit.
There was no call on the play, despite the referee looking directly at it. Not to mention, no Leafs player went to avenge Laughton.
Laughton went down with a bloody nose, and while he finished out the game, it certainly was not a pretty sight for the forward.
Tomorrow, the NHL is going to have to take a look at this hit, although it is very unlikely that anything will happen with this.
The Maple Leafs should still look at the positives here, as the Leafs came away with a win and are now looking to be closer than ever to a playoff spot.
It's good news for the fans, who have had to suffer through some truly mediocre play over the course of the first 40 games of the season.
