Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Jay Rosehill has inside information on the franchise, and recently, he let it slip that the Leafs might be looking at a trade.

The Toronto Maple Leafs need a top-four defenseman, ideally, someone who is right-handed and can generate some offense for you.
There aren't a ton of players on the market right now, although there is one defenseman who was reportedly available during the summer.
That defenseman is none other than Rasmus Andersson. The Maple Leafs reportedly had interest in the defenseman, but at the time, the defenseman didn't want to go anywhere.
Now, the Flames are worse than ever before, and with Andersson's production taking a hit, it appears as though a change could be coming.

Jay Rosehill believes the Toronto Maple Leafs will make a move

According to Jay Rosehill, a former Toronto Maple Leafs enforcer, general manager Brad Treliving is taking a very serious look at Andersson.
While Rosehill is unsure of what the package would look like, this does fit into the narrative that the Maple Leafs would love a right-handed puck-moving defenseman.
I guess the Maple Leafs are working hard to get Rasmus Anderson out of Calgary.
Not sure what they'd have to give to get him tho
Rasmus Andersson hasn't had 50 points in a season since 2022, and he has been on a decline ever since. With that in mind, one has to wonder if the Maple Leafs should bother.
This is going to be a fascinating situation, and we cannot wait to see what Treliving does over the next few weeks, especially if the team continues to struggle.
The fans are hoping for something good to happen, and if they don't get something good, then there might just be a revolt.
