Forgotten ECHLer Named Worst Toronto Maple Leafs Draft Pick of All Time

Throughout the 100-year history of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the team has made a lot of mistakes, and many of those mistakes have come in the form of bad draft picks.

The truly bad picks are the ones that are considered "busts." Guys who were picked way before they should have been. It is always disappointing when stuff like this happens, and it's hard to really avoid, as you never know how a player will react to NHL pressure.

Having said that, The Leafs Nation recently asked fans to vote on who the worst draft pick in Toronto Maple Leafs history was. The answer was someone you may have already forgotten.

With the 22nd overall pick in the 2011 Entry Draft, the Toronto Maple Leafs selected Tyler Biggs from Miami University and the USHL.

Eventually, he went on to play for the Toronto Marlies, but only managed 15 points in over 100 games played. Not nearly enough for a guy playing the wing.

From there, Tyler Biggs went on to play in the ECHL, but again, never managed to catch on. Before the age of 30, Biggs was already retired from hockey.

The forward has not played hockey since the 2018-19 season, where he was a forward on the Kalamazoo Wings.

Overall, it is sad when players have careers that don't pan out, but this is just what happens in hockey. Sometimes, guys don't make it.

We do wish Tyler Biggs the best going forward, as it cannot be easy to have the internet calling you the worst at something.

Sometimes, it is probably best to just avoid social media altogether, and enjoy life off of the internet.
