Former Toronto Maple Leafs Forward Earns a Huge Opportunity with the Florida Panthers

There have been a lot of players to come and go from the Toronto Maple Leafs over the years, and one of them is Noah Gregor, who was a draft pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2016.

He was with the Sharks until 2023, when he decided to sign a contract that summer with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he spent one full season.

During that season, Gregor played 63 games, scoring six goals and adding another six assists for 12 points. He eventually went to the Ottawa Senators before going back to the Sharks in the middle of last season.

This Summer, Gregor has been unable to find an NHL job, and there have been questions about whether or not he would be able to find a team to take him.

Training camp is starting soon, and that means PTO season is upon us. Just yesterday, we reported on former Leafs player Dylan Gambrell signing a PTO with the Nashville Predators.

Now, Gregor is the latest former Leaf to get an opportunity, as he signed a PTO with the Florida Panthers.

Of course, the Panthers are the biggest threat to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Atlantic Division, and fans have a lot of animosity towards that franchise.

Overall, Gregor has a good shot at making the team as a fourth-liner, although there is no telling whether or not he will officially make the team.

Thanks to some key re-signings this summer, it is very fair to say that the Florida Panthers are absolutely stacked, with or without Gregor on the roster.

Only time will tell whether or not the former Maple Leafs forward can continue his NHL career.
