Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz has yet to return from injury, although when he does, there are some folks who believe a trade deadline move is set in stone.

Anthony Stolarz has been out of the Toronto Maple Leafs' lineup for two months now, and the fans are trying to figure out what's wrong with him.
We still don't know the full extent of the injury, but there is no denying that there is real concern around the franchise right now, and for good reason.

Nick Kypreos on an Anthony Stolarz trade

According to Nick Kypreos, if Stolarz returns in a month from now, there is a real possibility that the Maple Leafs will try to trade him, especially with the emergence of Dennis Hildeby.
Joseph Woll and Hildeby have been playing inspired hockey this season, and with teams in desperate need of goaltending, Stolarz could bring back a nice haul.
Finally on the Leafs, there are teams out there that need a goalie and not a lot is available at the position. So, if Anthony Stolarz can come back and be healthy for a stretch, he's a trade chip they could use.
Of course, this all hinges on Stolarz being healthy, and at this point, there really is no telling when he is going to make his way back to the lineup.

Anthony Stolarz's stats make this a no-brainer

If you were paying attention to the Maple Leafs during the early portion of the season, you would have noticed that Stolarz struggled mightily.
He had just six wins in 13 games, a goals-against average of 3.51, and a save percentage of .884. These numbers are a far cry from what he achieved last season.
Overall, the Maple Leafs have some very difficult decisions to make, and we can't imagine what general manager Brad Treliving must be thinking right about now.
This is not an easy predicament for him to be in, and we're sure the Leafs will continue to mull this over as responsibly as humanly possible.
