Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas is in the middle of an ownership transfer, and with that in mind, his job with the Penguins could be in jeopardy.
Kyle Dubas has been a controversial figure everywhere he's gone, and there is no doubt that the fans in Pittsburgh have had their fair share of strong opinions.
Overall, he is a general manager who takes risks, and sometimes, this leads to a depletion of resources. Ultimately, the higher-ups in Toronto got fed up with it, and he lost his job.
Now, the Pittsburgh Penguins are looking to sell to a new ownership group, and this has led to some serious questions about Dubas' future, especially after he got a massive contract from the franchise.
The team is now on the cusp of a rebuild, and there is no telling if the new ownership group is going to want to deal with whatever Dubas has going on.
Are the Pittsburgh Penguins keeping Kyle Dubas?
According to Elliotte Friedman, it would appear as though Dubas is safe, at least for now. Friedman doesn't foresee the GM losing his job.

This is definitely good news for Dubas, although we cannot help but wonder what is going to happen with the Penguins over the next couple of seasons.

Meanwhile, guys like Erik Karlsson and Bryan Rust are reportedly on the trading block, which shows that the Penguins are ready to turn the tide.
It is a fascinating situation and one that we will be keeping an eye on for months to come.
