Leafs Forward Scott Laughton Reveals Wholesome Reason Behind Sudden NHL Playoffs Success
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Scott Laughton was struggling with the team when he first got here, however, he has since become a real threat on offense.
When Scott Laughton first came over from the Philadelphia Flyers, it was a struggle for him to get going.
However, an overtime goal in the final game of the regular season seemed to be all he needed to get himself back into the game and ready to go for the NHL Playoffs.

He got an assist on the first goal of the game on Sunday in Game 1 against the Ottawa Senators and as it turns out, he had a secret behind the success.
While speaking to reporters, he noted he went to his wife's grandmother's house and it really put things in perspective.
"I went over to my wife's Nonna's place on Good Friday. They're Italian and she made my pre-game meal for Sunday. Lots of pasta, a couple of meatballs. It was great."
He then got to saw his parents again and that really helped him also decompress and get ready.
"After Friday, I was able to see my parents and grandparents on Saturday. That's the cool part of being (home in the GTA). It takes your mind away from everything, keeps you grounded. Having a little one (six-month-old son) is a lot of work, but it keeps you light. So, when you get to the rink, you're ready to go."
Needless to say, Laughton is ready to go for another plate of pasta and meatballs so that he can keep the good times rolling.
I might have to go by her place again and pick up a big bowl of pasta again. We'll see. I'm not that superstitious anymore. I was eating McDonalds before every game in the minors, but that went away.
Only time will tell whether or not this Leafs team can take Game 2 as they take on the Ottawa Senators again tonight.
