Legendary Toronto Maple Leafs Personality Addresses Fans Ahead of Farewell Season

Toronto Maple Leafs play-by-play announcer Joe Bowen is beloved by the fanbase, although this season will be his last, much to the chagrin of Leafs Nation.
Joe Bowen has four decades of experience as the voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and unfortunately, during that time, he has yet to see the team win a Stanley Cup.
Overall, Bowen is someone who is beloved by the fans, so it should come as no surprise that many were saddened to hear that this would be his last season calling games.
The man is getting up there in age and certainly deserves to be able to have his fun in retirement and enjoy life with his family as much as possible.
Joe Bowen has a message for Toronto Maple Leafs fans
With the season set to begin in a few weeks from now, Bowen has put out a message for all of the Toronto Maple Leafs fans out there.
He wanted to thank everyone for all of the kind words over these past few months. He even made sure to get in a comment about the Leafs going on a deep postseason run.
Thank you so very,very much for all of the kind comments and Notes regarding my final year behind the microphone for the @MapleLeafs. Looking forward to this season which is just around the corner and a long, long run in the post season!!
Whether or not the Maple Leafs can fulfill Bowen's wish still remains to be seen. However, it would be incredible if the Maple Leafs could have a deep run.
Had they gotten past the Florida Panthers, they could have easily made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals, which would have been epic.
Hopefully, the Leafs can give Bowen a season to remember prior to his retirement.
There is no denying that a Stanley Cup would be the ultimate gift to wrap up his legendary career.
