Toronto Maple Leafs forward Bobby McMann is going to have to miss a game after slashing Oliver Bjorkstrand in the head, and fans are not happy about the situation.

Yesterday evening, Bobby McMann was officially handed a one-game suspension by the NHL Department of Player Safety after slashing Oliver Bjorkstrand across the head.
McMann had been ejected for the play, and he automatically had a hearing to discuss what went down. During the hearing, it was made clear that he would be penalized.
Overall, it is easy to see why McMann would get a game. After all, you can't just go around whacking guys in the head, even if it was accidental.
Having said that, some fans were upset as Gage Goncalves received zero punishment for his knee-on-knee hit that injured Maple Leafs defenseman, Dakota Mermis.

Maple Leafs fans go after George Parros

With that in mind, Maple Leafs fans are currently speaking their minds and showing their displeasure with the head of the NHL Department of Player Safety, George Parros.
Since taking over, Parros has been especially harsh on the Toronto Maple Leafs whenever they commit an infraction. On the opposite end, he is especially lenient against teams who commit infractions against the Leafs.
These narratives were expressed in the comments below on X, where fans were extremely upset with Parros for giving the Leafs yet another suspension.
The feeling here is that the Leafs are being unfairly targeted, and that Parros ought to lose his job for the way he has treated the team over the past decade or so.
To be frank, it appears as though the NHL is actually very happy with the job that Parros is doing right now, and it is doubtful that he will be let go of his job.
No matter what the fans say, the fact remains that Bobby McMann will not be in the Maple Leafs' lineup come Thursday night against the San Jose Sharks.
