Toronto Maple Leafs forwards Matias Maccelli and Nick Robertson are wild cards going into next season, and one reporter seems to know where they'll stand.
During the offseason, the Toronto Maple Leafs attempted to make some moves to bolster their goal-scoring and ensure the replacement of Mitch Marner.
One of the players they brought in was none other than Matias Maccelli, who is poised for a bounce-back season following a rough campaign in Utah.

However, according to Dave McCarthy on the 'DLLS Stars' podcast, both Maccelli and Robertson are likely to have big roles with the Leafs this season.
McCarthy believes Maccelli will play on the first line next to Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies. Meanwhile, he sees Robertson playing with John Tavares and William Nylander.
I would expect Maccelli to get that chance with Matthews and Knies at the beginning of the year because I look at him as a poor-man's Mitch Marner. If he falters, I could see Max Domi elevated into that role.
