Max Domi Facing Possible Suspension for Dirty Elbow from Behind on Panthers Captain Barkov

The Toronto Maple Leafs came into Game 4 with an opportunity to put the Panthers only one loss away from facing elimination.

Craig Berube's team fell short, and players didn't shy away from showing their frustration on the ice towards the end of last night's game.

Domi was obviously unable to contain his rage and lashed out at Aleksander Barkov at the end of the game.

The Panthers captain didn't have the puck, and just before the final whistle, Domi struck him from behind, right on the boards, in what could've caused a dangerous injury.

Fortunately, Barkov got up and threw a few hits on his opponents during the massive scrum that emerged after Domi's questionable hit.

Insider Pierre LeBrun stated that while the hit would've been only a penalty if it had occurred at any other time in the game, the fact that it happened at the end of the game is something the League has been wanting to address for a while now.

According to him, the NHL Player Safety Department will be looking into the hit:

While official consequences from the NHL should come, The Panthers are definitely planning to bring vengeance on the ice in game 5.

It was a terrible evening altogether for the Maple Leafs, as they were outplayed and outshot 15-4 in the first period, the total shots ended up being 37-23 in favor of Florida.

Fans are eager to see what will go down in the fifth game of the series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Florida Panthers next Wednesday in Toronto.
