Morgan Rielly is causing huge problems for the Leafs, and Craig Berube is speaking out

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly struggled against the New York Islanders, and head coach Craig Berube has some strong thoughts.
Morgan Rielly has been having a solid season with the Toronto Maple Leafs when it comes to his offensive production. With 26 points in 40 games, he is on a much better pace than last year.
However, his defensive prowess is not looking so good, and it has left a few fans frustrated with what the defenseman has become.
He has a rating of -15, which is the worst on the team. Not to mention, he was a -4 against the New York Islanders last night.
In fact, his coverage on the final goal is what ultimately allowed the Islanders to win the game in overtime and keep the Leafs to just one point.
Craig Berube weighs in on Morgan Rielly
It was a rough night for Rielly, and after the game, Leafs head coach Craig Berube was asked about the struggles his defenseman is going through.
Berube was quick to take some of the heat off Rielly, noting that the defenseman has been solid at other points durin the season.
Tonight was a tough one. I know that, but he's played some really good hockey for us this year. I'm not worried about it. I think he'll get back to the level he was at. I do believe that. that's kind of where I'm at with it.
This recent stretch of play from Rielly simply is not good enough, and there is no denying that some fans have a real problem with it.
The trade deadline is coming up in March, and the Maple Leafs are going to have to decide whether or not Rielly is someone who needs to go.
Based on his play as of late, the Leafs may have no choice but to move him out. You can't win games in the NHL when your highest-paid defenseman is a -4.
