New footage of the captain has surfaced online, and it appears as though that injury might just be officially behind him. We say that because this footage shows him on the ice, where he is putting in some serious work.

Matthews is such a great scorer because of his shot, and as you can see, the goaltender did not stand a chance during the vast majority of these attempts.

Meanwhile, his skating looks explosive, and his edges are as solid as ever. Put all of this together, and things might just be scary for the rest of the league this season.

If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, you can't help but be excited about the prospect of a healthy Auston Matthews. At the end of the day, he needs this season to be a good one.

After Mitch Marner left the franchise, it became clear that Matthews would have to carry the load, which is not easy. After all, Marner was someone who helped Matthews get a lot of his points.
