Notorious Toronto Maple Leafs Hater Fired by TSN
TSN is making some changes to its regional broadcasts, and one of the victims of this is frequent Toronto Maple Leafs hater and former NHLer, Marc Methot.
Marc Methot is a controversial former NHL player who once played for the Ottawa Senators and was a nuisance to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
For the most part, fans did not like Methot, and the feeling was mutual. Over the years, Methot has continuously ragged on the Leafs on the airwaves.
Furthermore, he has consistently made inflammatory political comments on X, which has led to suspicion that he could lose his job if he's not careful.
Marc Methot gets the boot from TSN
Well, on Friday, those suspicions came true as it was officially revealed that Methot would be taken off the TSN airwaves for the upcoming season.
An official reason for his departure was not given. Instead, we got a list of personalities who will be replacing him.
For the 2025-26 season, TSN's live regional coverage of the Ottawa Senators features a multitude of TSN Hockey personalities.
Gord Miller, Kenzie Lalonde, and Matt Cullen deliver the call alongside game analyst Jamie McLennan.
Claire Hanna hosts live panel coverage with a rotating crew of analysts and special guests, including Cheryl Pounder, Frankie Corrado, Mike Johnson, Marc Denis, and former Senators head coach Paul MacLean.

Meanwhile, on social media, Methot came out and said that he had no animosity with TSN, and that everything between them was just fine.

Only time will tell whether or not Methot finds himself back in the broadcast world, or if this is the end of the line.
All we know is that this means there will be a lot less Maple Leafs bashing on TSN this season.
