Former NHLer Paul Bissonnette believes that the Canadian Stanley Cup curse will be broken this season.

The Last time a Canadian team won the Stanley cup was more than 30 years ago with the 1993 Montreal Canadiens.
The Canadiens are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2020 this year, meaning they could theoretically be the team to end the drought.
However, Montreal will have a very tough path as the last seed in the Eastern Conference.
That being said, there are a couple of other Canadian teams that could be true contenders this year.
Among them are the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are looking to go on a deep playoff run for the first time in the 'core four' era.
But for Toronto, it could be a particularly historic season as they are looking for their first Stanley Cup in over 50 years.
Former NHLer Paul Bissonnette, who now covers the league on TNT, thinks the Leafs will go all the way to the finals this year, facing off against the Edmonton Oilers, which would mean the Stanley Cup curse would be over regardless of who wins.
"I'm going to stick with the Leafs in the East, that's been my prediction since the start of the year. They have set themselves up perfectly. I did pick Edmonton in the West. I'll stick with them. But if I did get to change my opinion, I think I would go with the Colorado Avalanche."

Bissonnette's co-host Liam McHugh agreed with him, as he also believed a Toronto-Edmonton final would be likely, but now he thinks that the Leafs will lose in the finals to the Vegas Golden Knights.
"At the beginning of the season. I picked an all-Canadiens Stanley Cup final. I had Toronto against Edmonton. I still feel good about one of those, and it's not Edmonton. I have Toronto, making a run, getting to Stanley Cup final. And I have them playing the Vegas Golden Knights, and I like Vegas to win it all."

Former NHL forward Anson Carter was the only one on the panel who predicted another all-American final with the Colorado Avalanche winning it all over the Florida Panthers.
"Out in the East - I'm taking the Florida Panthers. It's all predicated on Matthew coming back, being healthy. And the West, it is a little more difficult in the West, because there are so many teams, I believe can come out of the West. The team I'm choosing will be Colorado Avalanche. I think if all things are being equal - the Colorado Avalanche versus Florida Panthers."
Be sure to tune in for the Stanley Cup playoffs as we wait to crown this year's champions!
