Ryan Reaves Rips the Maple Leafs Organization and Craig Berube After Being Traded
San Jose Sharks forward Ryan Reaves had an exit interview after being traded by the Toronto Maple Leafs, and he didn't have many good things to say.
Ryan Reaves was a player who needed to be traded. He wasn't doing much for the Maple Leafs anymore, and it felt like it was time for him to go.
He was also taking up cap space, and with the Leafs looking to make some signings, general manager Brad Treliving had no choice but to pull the trigger.

Yesterday, Reaves got to speak to the media, and as you are going to read, he wasn't exactly complimentary towards the Leafs organization.
He blamed head coach Craig Berube for his lack of playing time, noting that there was a lack of trust from the very beginning.
Just a lack of trust very early I had one bad game and I was out of the lineup for 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 games. I'd come back in, have a good game, but get taken right back out. I really could never gain any momentum.
Reaves notes that he asked Treliving for a trade at the end of the season, noting that this just wasn't the right fit for him.
Quite frankly, good riddance. A 38-year-old enforcer who doesn't even fight has no place on the team right now. He's the Sharks' problem now.
Meanwhile, the Leafs now have Michael Pezzetta, who is going to fill the enforcer role quite nicely.
Only time will tell whether or not Reaves truly hits that 1000-game mark, or fizzles out before the finish line.
