It was an important game in the context of the Atlantic Division as the Panthers now have a four point lead on Toronto.
However, many Leafs fans saw the game as a potential scouting mission for Bennett who is going to be a free agent this summer.

However, this is definitely a good baseline start for the Toronto Maple Leafs who might be forced into some very difficult decisions this summer.
Meanwhile, the Leafs will have to prepare themselves for some potential battles against the Panthers in the playoffs this season.
If they do matchup at some point, then the team will have to find a way to neutralize guys like Bennett, who always rise to the occasion.
