Last night was not good for the Toronto Maple Leafs, especially after Anthony Stolarz allowed four goals on 19 shots and was chased from the game.
This decision was complicated, as Dennis Hildeby had to come in the net. He was scheduled to play tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes, so his appearance last night raised some questions.
After all, it's not every day you see a goaltender play in back-to-back games. On the flip side of that, Stolarz would face the same fate.

The reason for this is simple. Stolarz has been overworked, and the head coach wants to make sure that his netminder finally gets a break.
Goaltender Joseph Woll is expected to return to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the not-so-distant future, and this will definitely help out the team.
Stolarz will finally get some rest, and in turn, he might start playing a lot better. Fans know the Leafs need that right now.
A win against the Carolina Hurricanes would be huge, especially when you think about just how bad the team has been during certain stretches of the season.
Hildeby has a lot of pressure on him right now, so it will be fascinating to see how all of this ends up playing out.
