We Now Know When Mitch Marner is Returning to Toronto

Mitch Marner and the Toronto Maple Leafs are no longer a couple, and for many Leafs fans out there, this is a devastating fact of life.

However, it was clear that the winger wanted to move, and at this stage, Leafs fans should simply move on. He's not coming back, and that's okay.

That said, Marner will return to Toronto at some point this season. The Leafs and Golden Knights will play each other twice, and one of those matchups will be in Toronto.

The NHL Schedule is set to be released on July 16th for all 32 NHL teams. This is going to make for an interesting unveiling, especially since we will find out when Marner and the Leafs play each other.

According to Bruce Cassidy, the head coach of the Las Vegas Golden Knights, there is a very real possibility that the Knights travel to Toronto early in the season.

Cassidy seems to have some inside information here, as he was extremely confident in his assessment of the situation.

We're sure Cassidy is excited to coach Mitch Marner, who will surely be bumped up to his first line right away. After all, you don't pay a gay $12 million per season for nothing.

Marner will have to prepare himself for a ton of boos if and when he does come back to Toronto. The fans are excited to boo him, and the former Leafs star will have to be aware of that.

Only time will tell whether or not Marner will crumble under the pressure of having to play in Toronto again.

If he does, then a lot of fans will be feeling pretty vindicated.
