Blue Jackets claim goaltender off waivers from Vancouver; 10 players placed on wire for Friday
Thursday was the first official day where the waiver wire was active, because it signaled the 12 day mark until the beginning of the regular season. The first day on the waiver wire saw seven players total be placed by their respective teams.
According to TSN's Chris Johnston, we have our first waiver claim of the 2023-24 season. The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed goaltender Spencer Martin off waivers from the Vancouver Canucks.
Martin, 28, appeared in 29 games for the Canucks last season where he tallied 11-15-1 with a 3.99 goals against average and an .871 save percentage.
For Friday, September 29th, the following ten players have been placed on the waiver wire. If some or all of them clear on Saturday, they'll be assigned to their team's respective American Hockey League affiliate.
