Over the past few months, it's been new drama after new drama in Vancouver, with Canucks President of Hockey Operations Jim Rutherford continuing that this week, as he all but blamed J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson for the teams struggles in 2024/25.
Now, the media have turned to Miller to get his response, and while it was clear that he was frustrated with how everything has played out in recent times, he declined to comment on that and his relationship with Pettersson.
Throughout this entire saga, Miller's reactions have changed, but at this point, it appears that both he and the entire Canucks team are getting sick of the media and even the front office pushing the drama to the forefront as they still sit outside the Stanley Cup Playoffs race.
At this point, it remains clear that the team are looking to move on from Miller, and if they'd got a significant enough offer for him already, they likely would have done so already, with the 31-year old clearly getting sick of all the drama that has followed him around.
As for how he handled this, it was a good move to underplay what Rutherford recently said, but ultimately, it's not going to change how things are handled, as the entire organization seems to remain in disarray.
