Over the past few days, it's become clear that J.T. Miller's time in Vancouver is quickly coming to an end, as the veteran forward has been at the centre of trade talks between the Canucks and the New York Rangers, among other teams.
This has all come despite public reports that the 31-year old star has not officially requested a trade, but now, Paul Bissonnette of the Spittin' Chiclets podcast has revealed that may not be the case after all.
According to Biz, Miller has officially requested a trade behind the scenes, but has publicly pledged his loyalty to the Canucks moving forward, even with the team pushing hard to move him.
It's not just the Rangers involved either, as the Hurricanes, Devils, Bruins and Stars are all reportedly involved in talks to land the former 100-point scorer, who has become quite disgruntled in recent times following the public nature of his feud with star forward Elias Pettersson.
It's unclear why Miller has publicly denied this situation despite asking the front office for a trade, but after an altercation with Rick Tocchet in recent times, it's clear his time in Vancouver is coming to an end, and with so much interest, this entire situation should no doubt be cleared up in the next few weeks as both parties simply look to move on.
