Quinn Hughes has been one of the NHL's best defenseman for years, and now he's brought up point No. 400 by making another player look foolish again as he broke Matthew Rempe's ankle on the way to that major milestone.
The Vancouver Canucks and New York Rangers are locked in a must-win battle at Madison Square Garden, with both teams desperate for two points in their respective Wild Card races in 2024/25.
It's been a tight contest thus far, with the biggest highlight of the matchup unsurprisingly being Quinn Hughes, as the star defenseman once again had opposing teams questioning themselves.
The biggest moment was when he took the puck at the blue line before making an absolute fool of Matt Rempe as he broke his ankles on the way past, all leading to Dakota Joshua's goal to make it a 1-0 game.
However, in the process Hughes recorded point No. 400 of his fantastic career thus far, making it 67 points in his 56th game this season for the Canucks dominant captain.
Those 400 points have come in his 421st game, showing just how good he's been from the moment he arrived in the NHL, and while many will argue that Cale Makar is the NHL's best defenseman, it's hard to argue that No. 43 is right in the conversation.
This is just one of many highlight reel plays in the young career of one of the NHL's best skaters, and with many more highlights yet to come for what is hopefully a long and illustrious career in Vancouver, it's safe to say that Rempe wasn't the first and won't be the last player to end up in this type of video as a result of Hughes.
