Vancouver Canucks could be interested in free agent forward Daniel Sprong
Although it's the middle of July hockey and the National Hockey League doesn't sleep as teams work all year round to build a team they feel is capable of winning and making it through to June to win the ultimate prize, the Stanley Cup.
This idea is no more apparent than with the Vancouver Canucks who are trying to build on last season's success with the idea that they have had several deletions including defenceman Nikita Zadorov and additions such as Jake DeBrusk. Still, according to an insider they may not be done and continue to look in on free agent Daniel Sprong.
Take a look:
Sprong, a twenty-seven-year-old native of Amsterdam, Netherlands spent last season with the Detroit Red Wings skating in 76 games contributing 18 goals alongside 25 assists & 22 penalty minutes.
Where it's unknown how the Canucks could use Sprong if they choose to sign him it is conceivable to think he would be a good fit alongside the Debrusk above and Elias Petterson for the foreseeable future. Whatever happens, it is evident that Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin must make a move to keep the teams' faithful fans happy and interested as the hope is that last season wasn't a fluke.
