Following a dangerous incident during Saturday's contest between the Vegas Golden Knights and Minnesota Wild, forward Jack Eichel was ejected.

With less than six minutes remaining in the second period, Kirill Kaprizov was skating into into the neutral zone, when Jack Eichel comes across and jabs him in the mid-section with his stick.

After the play was reviewed by the officials, the call was confirmed - a five-minute major and a game misconduct for spearing for Jack Eichel, who put his team in a very difficult position in a very important game.

"Jack Eichel has been assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for spearing Kirill Kaprizov"

On the ensuing five-minute powerplay for the Minnesota Wild, Kirill Kaprizov got the last laugh, scoring his team-leading 37th goal of the 2023-24 campaign.

There's no doubt that on Sunday, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety will be calling Jack Eichel for a hearing and there's a good chance he could find himself suspended for crucial games coming up for Vegas.
