The Winnipeg Jets may have lost Game 6, but given the emotion that went into the game, it's safe to say that the city of Winnipeg and Scott Arniel are proud.

Game 6 was incredibly emotional for the Winnipeg Jets, and while they fell 2-1 in overtime to the Dallas Stars, they earned their respect after battling through both rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs thus far.
Game 6 was made even more emotional by the situation surrounding it, as Mark Scheifele played the game after his father passed away less than 24 hours before, but in honour of him, Scheifele played on, scoring the Jets only goal in the game.
While Head Coach Scott Arniel was disappointed their season came to an end after battling so hard, he focused on Scheifele in his post-game press conference, giving this heartfelt message to his veteran star.
"I'm so proud of him. His dad would be so proud of him."
In honouring his father, Scheifele scored the only goal of the game for Winnipeg, with the emotions all over his face as he celebrated the goal, and it's safe to say that everyone watching the game agrees with Arniel that his father would be so incredibly proud of him for fighting through to play a tough game.
Ultimately though, it was the Stars that came out on top in overtime, but if he didn't have it already, Scheifele won the hearts of NHL fans around the world for his performance in this one, and it's safe to say that not only Arniel but the rest of the team and the city of Winnipeg are and should be so very proud of their superstar for playing through.
