Projected top 10 pick makes decision that could cause teams to not draft him
Dalibor Dvorsky, a potential top-ten pick in next week's draft, won't be coming over to North America anytime soon.
On Thursday, it was announced that Dvorsky was switching teams in Sweden and has signed a two-year contract with SHL club IK Oskarshamn.Note: the following quote is translated from Swedish.
"There were a number of clubs in the SHL that were interested and I had the privilege of choosing the one that suited me best. That it ended up being Oskarshamn was actually an easy decision. The organization made a good impression on me right away. It will be the perfect challenge for me to take the next step in my development. The goal next season is to help the team win games and develop myself both on and off the ice." Dvorsky said.
Dvorsky, 18, spent the 2022-23 season in HockeyAllsvenskan with AIK, putting up 14 points (six goals, eight assists), 16 penalty minutes and was a minus-19 in 38 games. He also appeared in ten games for AIK's junior team, recording 21 points.
