The National Hockey League training camps just opened and with a fresh season set to begin in a matter of weeks, the last thing any teams want is an injury to a superstar, unfortunately for the Tampa Bay Lightning, they weren't so lucky.
According to Lightning beat writer Chris Krenn, head coach Jon Cooper spoke about goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy dealing with an injury; take a look.
Jon Cooper said Andrei Vasilevskiy is day-to-day right now.
«He's wrestling with some things right now, physically. It's early in training camp, so we don't need to rush anything along with him. When he's ready to go, he'll be out there.«
Long-term injury?
«Not as of now, no.»
The good thing for Tampa fans is that Vasilevskiy isn't expected to be out long term as he's listed as day-to-day which means that he'll likely be back shortly, but any Injury to your starting goaltender is never good.
Vasilevskiy has been one of the top goaltenders in the world for some time now, but recently he's been dealing with a lot of ailments. Hopefully this time he can heal from whatever they are and get to 100% health.
