4 more players sign professional tryouts ahead of training camp
The hockey season is right around the corner, Nation Hockey League rosters are almost set for the start of camp. Now is the time that professional tryouts are usually handed out like candy.
Case and point, according to Cap Friendly 4 Professional Tryout Contracts were handed out today to forward Victor Rask (Columbus Blue Jackets), defenceman Ben Harpur(Blue Jackets) forward Alex Chiasson (Arizona Coyotes) and forward Zach Senyshyn (New Jersey Devils)
I think Victor Rask has a shot to make the Blue Jackets adding to their depth scoring as a solid third/fourth line centre-man.
Alex Chiasson has been serviceable throughout his NHL career, but he is getting older and slowing down with age, however his tryout is with the Coyotes and there will be spots open presumably.
Harpur and Senyshyn are both wildcards in my opinion, Senyshyn hasn't gotten a long shot in the NHL and Harpur is a fringe NHLer at best. We'll see shortly If any of these players make their respective teams soon enough.
