Alex Ovechkin shares how he celebrated passing Gordie Howe, and it's exactly how your beer league team celebrates
Alexander Ovechkin has been in the NHL for 18 seasons now. He is on a legendary run, and has in turn influenced many young players in the game now. On December 23rd Ovechkin broke through another ceiling on the all-time goals record, passing Gordie Howe.
When asked how Ovi would celebrate breaking Mr. Hockey's record, Ovi told reporters:
. «Going to a bar right now, hot dog, nachos, you know,» Ovechkin said, per Samantha Pell of The Washington Post.
With only 92 goals away from Wayne Gretzky, Ovi is keeping it simple! Who would pass on Nachos? Even the smallest celebration in light of surpassing a hockey icon like Gordie Howe is something the veteran winger thinks is a miracle .
