With the offseason in full swing one of the least active teams has been the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks are in the midst of a rebuild and still need to sign both Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras to new deals. While both of those deals are expected to get done the Ducks are looking to set a standard for their young players.
While Zegras remains ineligible for arbitration Troy Terry does not and the team and player are set to go to arbitration this week. Today terms for both parties were released and Terry's ask is absolutely ridiculous. While arbitration numbers are usually far apart, this case is a significant instance of the player asking for FAR too much.
While the Ducks have come in at a reasonable $4,500,000 per season, Terry, who has never put up more than 67 points in a season is currently asking for $8,000,000.
