Ducks defenseman Urho Vaakanainen was taken to UCI Medical Center for evaluation after being injured during tonight's game. He has full movement in his extremities and is fully conscious and alert.

Injury Update:
Urho Vaakanainen was released from the hospital Friday night and continues to improve.

Vaakanainen being released from hospital is a positive sign and hopefully he's at home resting comfortably. It would appear Vaakanainen likely suffered a concussion, which you never want to see.
