Arizona Coyotes admit they have no interest in being good anytime soon

The Arizona Coyotes are not an organization to be shameful, though in many cases it turned out that they should have been.

From drafting Mitchell Miller to the College arena debacle, it's hard telling where they will stop, or if they will. However, Arizona has landed a lot of aging NHLers in Phil Kessel, Shayne Gostisbehere, and recently Riley Nash.

Arizona also acquired Loui Erikkson, Antoine Roussel and Jay Beagle for the Vancouver Canucks 2021 first and 2022 second-round picks in exchange for the veterans acquired while sending Connor Garland and Oliver-Ekman Larsson to the Canucks.

Bill Armstrong apparently has called upon Vancouver again as they're looking for the Canucks to move more.

While it's unclear exactly which contracts the Canucks might be looking to move this time around, some possible candidates include Tyler Myers (two years x $6 million AAV, 10-team no-trade list), Tucker Poolman (three years x $2.5 million AAV), and Jason Dickinson (two years x $2.65 million AAV).

The question is how good is Bill Armstrong's relationship with Jim Rutherford? It doesn't seem that well, as compared to Jim Benning.

«I know the Coyotes have called offering the ability to take on some contracts the Canucks aren't wild about,» Seravalli said. «How much are the Canucks willing to pay to offload things like that? My answer or thought process would be probably not very willing.»

This is the Bill Armstrong masterclass of acquiring draft picks:

. In addition to selecting third overall, the Coyotes own two additional first round picks as well as four second round picks and picks in the third, fifth and sixth rounds.
