Arizona Coyotes player tells the media he wants to be traded, doesn't want to be in Arizona anymore
The puck hasn't even dropped on the NHL season and a member of the Arizona Coyotes has already grabbed headlines. The Coyotes are scheduled to move to an under 5,000 seat arena and while it's likely to be a great experience, it's not for everyone. As well as their new arena the Coyotes are entering yet another rebuild, something they've been perpetually doing for years.
It was rumored over the summer that the Coyotes were trying to trade Jakob Chychrun, but it appears those voices are about to get much louder. Today the defenseman reported to Coyote's camp and didn't hold back when speaking to reporters.
According to Craig Morgan, a Coyotes reporter, Chychrun has made it abundantly clear he has no intention of remaining with the team and wants to be traded to a playoff contender immediately.
Chychrun has played his entire 337 game career with the Coyotes. Chychrun has only played in 9 playoff games for the Coyotes over his entire career and it's clear he wants to change that.
Chychrun has been linked to the Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Kings and at least 2 others teams over the summer. It will be interesting to see how this situation progresses.
