Arizona Coyotes raise the asking price for Jakob Chychrun again
Jakob Chychrun has been on the NHL Trade Block for almost a full calendar year. Many experts have wondered when Chychrun will finally moved, but as of now there are still no answers to that question. It seemed likely Chychrun would move at last year's deadline. Then it was the draft. Then before opening day.
None of those timelines have come together and now it seems like Chychrun may never be on the move. Especially if Bill Armstrong continues to raise his asking price for the defenseman.
It's believed the Arizona Coyotes have several suitors for defenseman Jakob Chychrun, but are waiting for a "2 first round picks plus more" package to Come along.
It was believed earlier this year the Coyotes were willing to move Chychrun for a 1st round pick and a top prospect. Since returning from injury though Chychrun has put up 17 points in 18 games. With his scoring touch on full display Bill Armstrong has raised his asking price.
The new price which includes 2 1st round picks, also would see the Coyotes acquiring NHL ready talent in the deal or a top prospect. This asking price is going to drive buyers away. Each game that Chychrun plays puts him at risk of injury and takes valuable years off his contract.
Something in Arizona has to give.
