Auston Matthews' agency responds to reporter who recommended firing Sheldon Keefe
After the annual Maple Leafs' first-round exit, Arashi Madani, who works for Sportsnet took to Twitter today to make a bold suggestions. Madani felt the Leafs should fire Sheldon Keefe, who just set franchise records for wins and points and in turn hire Rick Bowness.
Many fans took to Keefe's defense, but probably the most surprising person was NHL Agent, Jeff Jackson. Jackson, who works for Auston Matthew's agency called out Arash Madani for his terrible taking on the Leafs' coaching situation.
Rick Bowness, was who was brought up, instead of Barry Trotz.
Bowness who also was a first-round casualty has been coaching since 1988-1989 in Winnipeg, has a record of 3 playoff appearances, with Boston and Dallas, and notably lost to Tampa Bay for their first cup.
It seems like Jackson is all in on Keefe and Madani's hot-take is definitely unpopular in Leaf's fan's eyes.
Definitely the best response to this hot-take. Keefe is still green, but the Maple Leafs finished with 115 points this year, Matthews had a great year but I'd say give Keefe another year and re-tool the defense. But Bowness?! Wow.
