Blackhawks turn down a ridiculous to trade offer for Alex DeBrincat
The trade rumours surrounding Chicago Blackhawks sharp-shooter, Alex DeBrincat have been swirling for some time. Chicago started earnestly listening to trade offers centring around the 24 year old a little over a month ago. No one thought it was going to go anywhere, and from the sounds of it, the perceived acquisition price, will make DeBrincat stay a Hawk for at least some time to come. That is unless someone team comes along and is willing to mortgage the past, present and future in order to pry him from the hands of Chicago.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman on the under review podcast, one team approached Chicago in an effort to get DeBrincat, the offer included at least 2 first rounders and of which was fairly high and Chicago said no.
I think there's one team that made a- I'm working on it today, a pretty big offer for DeBrincat, which if it's two included a couple-at least a couple of first rounders, one of them which would of been pretty high, and i heard Chicago wasn't willing to do that so, I'm very curious to see what it's going to take to get DeBrincat out of there (Chicago)
The question is, does Chicago actually want to trade their young cornerstone? Or is this a ploy to evaluate the market?
