Blacklisted NHL head coach could apply to return to the league next year according to source
When Joel Quenneville resigned his post as the Head Coach of the Florida Panthers it came with a mandate from the league that he would be barred from coaching again without league approval. Coach Q played a role in the Kyle Beach scandal and when the report was released and he was involved the league worked quickly to try and mend their reputation.
Less than year later though it appears at least one franchise has forgiven Quenneville's involvement enough to reach out. According to Andy Strickland, Quenneville could return as early as next season if the league were to approve.
It's unclear if the league will approve his return at this time or how players may respond to Quenneville's presence in a locker room so soon after these details were revealed.
