Borje Salming shares heartbreaking video to fans as he battles ALS
Borje Salming is one of the greatest Toronto Maple Leafs of all time. The Swedish defensemen almost singlehandedly changed how European player were viewed with his style of play.
Unfortunately Salming recently shared that he was battling ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). Salming who is not one to give up is battling this disease with courage and strength. Unfortunately it was announced yesterday that ALS had taken his ability to speak.
Salming previously asked for his privacy, but wanted to share a message with the fans who'd loved and supported him for his entire career.
The clip is absolutely heartbreaking and our thoughts and prayers go out to the Salming family as they continue this courageous battle.
