The Boston Bruins season ended last week at the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes, after a grueling seven game series. The Bruins later revealed that Brad Marchand was playing injured with undisclosed injury. It was eventually released that Marchand was suffering from a significant hip injury that would require surgery.
Today to the Boston Bruins have announced
Brad Marchand underwent hip arthroscopy and labral repair on both hips today.
The expected recovery time is six months, which would have Marchand miss most of the first two months of next season.
With questions already surrounding the health and future of Patrice Bergeron this could mark the beginning of the end of the Big Bad Bruins.
