Breaking News - Colorado Avalanche forward undergoes surgery
The Colorado Avalanche are still feeling the impact of their Stanley Cup run. After a grueling quest to the Stanley Cup Finals, some players are still battling injuries sustained during their Cup run. One of those players is team captain Gabriel Landeskog.
Landeskog has yet to play a game this season due to injury and now it appears that the best case scenario is he won't play until at least 2023. According to Peter Baugh the Avs captain has been forced to undergo knee surgery to try and get back into the lineup.
Gabriel Landeskog had knee surgery yesterday and is expected to miss 12 weeks. #Avs
The injury to Landeskog continues to show just how grueling the Stanley Cup grind is. Hopefully Landy can get himself healthy so he can return to be part of potentially another run at the Cup.
