Breaking News - Colorado Avalanche make Nathan MacKinnon the highest paid player in NHL History
Despite rumors circulating from Adrian Dater, Nathan MacKinnon has officially signed a deal with the Colorado Avalanche that will make him the highest paid player in NHL History. MacKinnon has reportedly made it known that he was no longer interested in being underpaid and was reported to be seeking a massive pay raise. Now it appears hes finally received that payment.
The Avalanche took to Twitter to announce that they'd signed MacKinnon to an 8-year deal, which will keep him in Colorado for a total of 9 more years.
According to Elliotte Friedman that deal surpasses what Connor McDavid was making at $12,500,000 making MacKinnon the highest paid player in the league, at least until Auston Matthews signs his next contract.
