Breaking News - New York Rangers trade disgruntled defenseman Nils Lundkvist
Earlier this summer Nils Lundkvist demanded a trade from the New York Rangers. Furthermore to display just how serious he was, Lundkvist informed the Rangers he had no intention to report for training camp. This put the Rangers in a less than ideal situation.
Rangers General Manager, Chris Drury made it clear he wouldn't be strong armed until a deal that didn't make sense for the team. Now it appears that the Rangers have come to a deal with the Dallas Stars.
Sounds like Nils Lundkvist is heading to the Stars 👀
According to Larry Brooks the Rangers receive a top 10 protected 1st round pick in return.
Nils Lundqvist to Dallas for top-10 protected 2023 first rounder. Confirmed. If it's top 10 pick rolls over to 2024 without restriction. Could be another component coming to NYR.
